March 2026: The Mary McClellan Foundation is pleased to announce the 2025 grant recipients:

Hudson Headwaters Health Network was awarded a second-year grant to complete a Teaching Kitchen in their Salem Family Health Facility. The kitchen is an addition to their innovative Food as Medicine program providing classes and instruction for community members.

A physician at the Cambridge Family Health Center of Glens Falls Hospital was granted a second installment of $20,000 to pay off medical school loans, as part of a long-standing doctor retention agreement between MMF and GFH.

Southwestern Vermont Medical Center was awarded $10,000 to purchase exam and waiting room furniture and equipment at the Hoosick Falls, NY Twin Rivers Family Medicine facility.

The Tri-County United Way has been awarded $5,600 for the RSVP Medical Transportation Program and Osteobusters classes, both provided throughout our catchment areas and $3,500 for hygiene products for distribution at Cambridge and Salem Central Schools.

SoSalem Inc received $8,950 to purchase a Plusoptix device for student vision screening exams at the Salem Central School.

Battenkill Community Services received $10,000 to fund a portion of Behavioral Health staff’s time to support clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities receiving services.

Comfort Food Community was awarded $26,000 to fund various staff positions providing support to community members facing food insecurity.

Parsons Child and Family Center has been awarded $20,000 to continue the Behavioral Health Center in the Cambridge Central School District. This collaboration serves children and families in the Cambridge School District contending with mental health challenges.

The Cambridge Valley Rescue Squad has been awarded $50,000 to partner with the Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad for collaborative projects including; training, practitioner wellness, workforce development, recruitment and retention and shared purchasing.

The Easton-Greenwich Rescue Squad has been awarded $20,000 for their ambulance fund which will allow for a new vehicle purchase this year.

The Salem Rescue Squad has been awarded $30,000 for an auto load and power cot for patient transport.

The White Creek Fire Company has been awarded $2,000 for a Stokes basket remote use stretcher.

This slate of 2025 grants total $239,050. *

Many of our recipients have been working alongside the Mary McClellan Foundation for several years, sharing ideas and plans for opportunities that serve our community. It is our privilege to fund these endeavors, and we greatly appreciate the efforts and expertise of the entities listed above. We are so proud to live and work in the communities of Cambridge, Greenwich, Salem, and Hoosick Falls, NY.

*2025 Grant Applications were submitted last year, with money being awarded for use in 2026.
